Job Description
If you're an audit professional who's ready to step up, shape a function, and finally have the space to do things your way, this Audit Lead role in Northamptonshire could be exactly what you've been waiting for.
Maybe you're feeling boxed in where you are, or you've reached a point where you want more influence, more trust, and more say in how an audit team operates. This is your chance to take genuine ownership of the audit function, guiding it forward while still staying hands-on with interesting, varied work.
As an Audit Lead, you'll help shape the future direction of a growing team, bringing ideas, energy, and a calm, confident approach. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, strengthening processes, and working closely with clients who appreciate a thoughtful, relationship-led style.
If you're ready for a role that values your judgment, supports your development, and gives you clear room to grow, this could be your ideal next move.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Manage client relationships and deliver clear, high-quality guidance.
- Coach and support junior team members.
- Identify and address audit challenges quickly and constructively.
- Refine processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall quality.
The Ideal Candidate:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a UK practice environment.
- Comfortable performing assurance tasks within a professional services firm.
- Confident handling clients with a collaborative, supportive approach.
- Motivated by continuous improvement and delivering strong results.
What's on Offer:
- £55,000 to £65,000 salary
- Hybrid and flexible working options
- Lifestyle, health, and wellbeing benefits
- Ongoing professional development and training
- Clear progression within a supportive, people-first culture
