Are you an ACA Qualified Audit Senior Manager / Director / RI looking to upgrade to a friendly, good-quality traditional medium-size accountancy firm based in Central London with great promotion prospects to Partner level in the short term? Are you looking to inherit a portfolio of £1m GRF? Do you already have Responsible Individual (RI) status or are you looking to get your RI status within the next 12 months? If so this independent firm with around 65 staff has created a new role due to continued high growth within the business, particularly within audit and assurance. Based in the busy Audit & Accounts Department, your role will be mixed between managing a number of the firm’s largest audit clients, reviewing accounts preparation assignments, staff management and new business development. You will manage your own portfolio of clients and report straight to Senior Partner level.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of audit clients, including those ranging to £80m turnover, across diverse industries such as property, technology, construction, renewable energy, retail, professional practices, media and entertainment.
  • Lead audit assignments: review work, conduct client meetings, manage workflow, set fees, budget, bill, and monitor WIP.
  • Review accounts preparation and corporation tax assignments.
  • Provide staff management: give appraisals, staff development, and oversee department operations.
  • Assist Partners with new business development and help bring in new work for the firm to grow the client portfolio.

Qualifications

  • ACA qualified with ideally 5+ years PQE or more.
  • Currently operating at Audit Senior Manager / Director / RI level in a good quality practice firm.
  • Experience with audit assignments either in a mixed general practice role or an audit-based role.
  • Strong team management skills, able to review work and give appraisals to all levels of staff.
  • Team player with good communication skills and a desire for a role with strong progression to Partner level.
  • Experience or ability to achieve RI status within 12 months is an advantage.
