Job Title: Audio Visual Field Service Engineer

Location: Acton and across London sites

Reports To: Service Manager

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a skilled and proactive Audio Visual Field Service Engineer to join a growing AV service team. Based at the Acton service hub, this role involves supporting a wide range of clients across London and the UK by providing on-site maintenance, servicing, and repair of professional AV systems — with a strong focus on LED wall technologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out on-site fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs of AV systems across client sites (primarily in London, with some UK-wide travel).
  • Specialise in the maintenance and repair of LED walls, including troubleshooting pixel faults, alignment issues, module replacements, and firmware updates.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on installed AV and LED display systems.
  • Assist with small installations, upgrades, and reconfigurations of AV and LED wall systems.
  • Provide end-user support and basic training when required.
  • Work closely with manufacturers and internal technical teams to resolve complex faults.
  • Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and components used using a digital service platform.
  • Comply with all relevant health & safety procedures and on-site protocols.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an AV or field service engineer within a service-oriented environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of LED display systems (such as ROE, Absen, Unilumin, INFiLED, etc.) including component-level diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with AV signal routing and control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Kramer).
  • Good working knowledge of video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Cisco) and audio DSPs (QSC, Biamp, BSS).
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
  • Full UK driving licence (vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided).


Desirable Qualifications

  • Manufacturer training or certification in LED systems (advantageous but not essential).
  • AVIXA CTS or equivalent AV industry certifications.
  • Basic understanding of AV-over-IP and networking principles.
  • IPAF, PASMA, or ECS card (preferred).
