About the Team: This role will work closely with the Technology, Workplace Operations, Concierge and Business Development teams in delivering support for all AV and events but will report to the Technology Service Desk Manager.
About the Role: The Audio Visual (AV) Support Technician is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality in-person, virtual and hybrid meetings, events, webinars and seminars across the organisation. The role provides hands-on AV support, proactive event setup, real-time troubleshooting, and post-event follow-up to ensure a professional, reliable experience for internal teams, clients and when using external platforms.
This role is based in London and will require onsite presence five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a first point of contact for AV and technical event support requests. Provide clear assistance to colleagues and speakers. Communicate technical guidance in a straightforward, non-technical way. Escalate to our external support company and manage complex or recurring issues appropriately. Maintain up-to-date documentation, guides and checklists for AV rooms and events. Log and track AV incidents or issues via the service desk or agreed process. Contribute ideas to improve AV reliability, event delivery and user experience. Support AV standards, policies and security best practices for online events.
AV Support
Set up, operate and support audio visual equipment including:
Meeting room AV systems Video conferencing platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom) Microphones, cameras, speakers, displays and projectors Webinar systems
Provide onsite support for meetings and events, including early starts and out of hours support where required. Troubleshoot AV and connectivity issues quickly and calmly during live sessions. Perform basic maintenance, testing and fault reporting on AV equipment. Support room bookings and ensure meeting spaces are prepared and configured correctly before use.
Event Support
Support the technical delivery of:
In-person events and seminars
Virtual and hybrid events Internal town halls, training sessions and client meetings Webinars
Assist with pre-event planning, including:
Understanding technical event requirements Advising on appropriate AV and platform setup Running test calls and speaker rehearsals
Manage live events, including:
Managing microphones, cameras, screen sharing and in room functions Coordinating with presenters, moderators and event organisers
Support post-event activities such as:
Resetting rooms and equipment Event follow up
About You: You will have a professional manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have previous experience working within an office. You’ll have a flexible nature and will enjoy working within a fast-paced team, and will be highly organised. You’ll also possess strong numeracy and attention to detail skills, which will be key within this role. We are looking for someone who is passionate about being a team player, who is keen to support others.
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Experience supporting audio visual equipment and meeting rooms (specific training will be provided). Practical experience with video conferencing platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom). Confidence supporting live meetings or events in person. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure. Good communication and customer-service skills. Willingness to support early morning or out-of-hours events.
