Role Description
This is not a passive sales role.
We are hiring an Auctions Business Development Manager who is driven, relentless, and focused on results. This is a primarily remote role, with occasional in-person days required at our Manchester office for meetings, onboarding, or team collaboration. This is a performance-led position — not a clock-in, clock-out job.
Your job is simple: generate revenue.
You will be expected to go out and win business consistently from home through cold calling, email outreach, and persistent follow-up. You will be targeting companies with surplus stock, liquidation requirements, and ongoing clearance needs, converting them into long-term auction clients.
You will be responsible for generating your own leads. We do not provide a steady flow of inbound leads — you are expected to identify, source, and build your own pipeline from scratch.
If you are not comfortable picking up the phone daily, sourcing your own opportunities, and chasing deals, this is not the role for you.
Responsibilities
Generate new business through self-sourced leads using high-volume outbound activity (calls, emails, follow-ups)
Identify and research target businesses and decision-makers
Build, manage, and continuously grow your own pipeline of opportunities
Convert prospects into active auction clients
Relentlessly follow up until deals are closed
Manage and grow your own portfolio of vendors
Work closely with internal teams to onboard and deliver successful auctions
Track all activity and performance through CRM systems
Consistently hit and exceed revenue targets
Performance Expectations (Non-Negotiable)
80–120 outbound calls per day depending on pipeline stage
Daily self-generated lead sourcing and outreach
Daily email outreach and structured follow-ups
Weekly new client acquisition targets
Monthly revenue targets directly linked to commission
100% CRM usage with accurate and up-to-date reporting
All activity is tracked. Your output will be visible at all times through call logs, CRM, and results.
First 90 Days
Learn and fully understand our auction model and sales process
Build a consistent and active pipeline of self-generated qualified leads
Close your first deals and onboard new vendors
Operate independently with strong daily activity levels
Begin contributing measurable revenue to the business
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a high-activity, target-driven sales or business development role
Confident and comfortable with cold calling, objection handling, and closing
Ability to source and generate your own leads consistently
Highly organised with strong pipeline management skills
Self-motivated, disciplined, and accountable
Resilient — able to handle rejection and maintain consistency
Competitive mindset with a strong desire to earn
Experience in auctions, asset sales, liquidation, or related sectors is advantageous but not essential

Compensation
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission
