Your base location will be in our Peterborough office.This is a pivotal role at the heart of Anglian Water’s AMP8 programme, giving you the opportunity to shape how we deliver against our commercial commitments across Alliances, the wider supply chain and the Anglian Water business.You’ll provide a robust assurance function for Commercial Services & Assurance, ensuring our obligations and responsibilities are met with confidence, consistency and integrity. Working across a complex and dynamic environment, you’ll actively champion collaboration — building trusted, mutually beneficial relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to drive effective ways of working.A key part of your impact will be developing and embedding clear, practical processes and procedures that support the successful operation of new and existing commercial and framework agreements. Alongside this, you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding compliance, ensuring our commercial controls and covenants are not only met, but truly embedded across the business.This is a role for someone who enjoys influence, thrives on partnership and wants to make a visible difference to how we deliver for our customers and communities.You’ll play a critical role in strengthening commercial assurance across AMP8, ensuring Anglian Water’s commercial controls, covenants and contractual commitments are robust, compliant and consistently applied.Around 60% of your time will focus on commercial controls, where you’ll prepare and assure financial control data, manage monthly reporting and governance activities, oversee risk registers, SAP mitigations and compliance areas (including GDPR, sanctions and anti-bribery), and support audit readiness. You’ll work closely with senior commercial leaders, Legal, Supply Chain and SAP Security to identify risks, resolve non-compliance and continuously improve processes.The remaining 40% of your role will centre on covenant and contract assurance, ensuring compliance with Anglian Water’s Common Terms Agreement and RAG5 requirements. You’ll lead assurance activities across a portfolio of contracts, monitor supplier performance, deliver second-line assurance, and provide clear, actionable insights to business leaders.
