Job Description
A forward-thinking, independent construction consultancy is seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding team. The firm is known for delivering high-value, client-focused services across Quantity Surveying, Employer’s Agent roles, Project Management, and Project Advisory support. With a leadership team of seasoned chartered professionals boasting over 20 years of industry experience, the consultancy combines deep technical expertise with a personalised, relationship-driven approach.

They deliver high-quality cost consultancy services on projects ranging from £1m to £25m across commercial, industrial, residential, education, retail, and infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing cost, commercial and contractual responsibilities across diverse and high-quality projects. The Opportunity

Projects typically range from £1m to £25m, providing exposure to a broad portfolio across commercial offices, industrial developments, residential schemes, education projects, retail, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of cost management and Quantity Surveying services across multiple projects and sectors.
Work closely with senior leadership to shape and implement strategic growth plans.
Manage, mentor, and develop a growing team of Quantity Surveyors.
Play an active role in business development and work-winning activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ensure high standards of technical delivery, reporting, and client service.
Oversee pre- and post-contract activities, including cost planning, tendering, valuations, and final accounts.
Contribute to operational planning, resource management, and business performance monitoring.
About You
Ideally MRICS qualified, with significant post-chartership experience.
Strong background delivering Quantity Surveying services within a consultancy environment.
Experienced in managing and developing project teams.
Demonstrable track record of client relationship management and work-winning.
Commercially astute, proactive, and confident in supporting strategic decision-making.
Passionate about contributing to the growth of an ambitious, entrepreneurial consultancy.
