Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking an Associate to join its Project Finance Practice in London. The team is known for its integrated, multidisciplinary approach, advising on complex project finance and infrastructure development transactions across both developed and emerging markets. With a global platform and deep regional insight, the practice supports clients on high-profile projects throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Asia.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on the full life-cycle of project development and finance transactions, including:

• Structuring, negotiating, and documenting complex cross-border project financings, often involving multilayered capital structures and a diverse range of financing sources.
• Acting for sponsors, banks, and institutional investors on major infrastructure and energy projects across international markets.
• Advising on project development, acquisition, construction, and operational matters, including associated regulatory, environmental, and contractual frameworks.

Key Sectors

The practice spans a wide range of industries, with particular focus on:

• Energy & Power – including conventional generation, renewables, and energy transition projects.
• Infrastructure – transport, digital infrastructure, and large-scale public assets.
• Oil & Gas – across upstream, midstream, and downstream projects.
• Natural Resources & Industrials – including mining, metals, and industrial development

Candidate Profile

• 5+ PQE, England & Wales qualified.
• Strong experience in project finance, infrastructure, or energy transactions.
• Solid understanding of financing structures, project documentation, and risk allocation.
• Exposure to cross-border matters and multi-jurisdictional transactions is highly desirable.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to operate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
