Financial Services Regulation Associate (3–5 PQE) – Central London


About the Firm


A reputable US law firm with a strong London presence, known for advising global financial institutions, market participants and sponsors on complex, high‑level regulatory and transactional matters. The firm operates on a fully integrated global platform and is recognised for its technical excellence and policy‑shaping work in the financial services space.


The Role


This role sits within a well‑established financial services regulation team advising banks, investment banks, asset managers and market infrastructures on a broad range of non‑contentious regulatory issues.


The practice covers financial markets regulation, banking and prudential regulation, financial collateral arrangements and market infrastructure regimes, with increasing focus on evolving areas such as cryptoassets, distributed ledger technology, ESG and sustainable finance. Associates are involved in complex advisory mandates and cross‑border matters, frequently working alongside international colleagues.


What They’re Looking For


  • England & Wales qualified associate with 3–5 years’ PQE.
  • Strong experience in financial services regulation, ideally non‑contentious.
  • Background advising financial institutions or market participants on regulatory matters.
  • Exposure to areas such as financial markets regulation, banking regulation, prudential requirements or market infrastructure.
  • Interest in emerging regulatory regimes, including cryptoassets, DLT or sustainable finance, is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks.
