Key Requirements


Experience


  • 7+ years post-qualification experience in planning (consultancy or public sector), focused on major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong track record delivering large-scale planning schemes on time and to budget.
  • Business development experience and commercial awareness.
  • Leadership of project teams.
  • Full lifecycle experience of major planning processes, including examination.
  • Post-consent experience and renewable energy project delivery.
  • Strong industry reputation and network.


Qualifications


  • Degree in Planning or related subject.
  • Chartered Membership of RTPI.
  • Ongoing professional development.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of national planning policy and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with relevant policy statements, guidance notes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the energy sector and renewable technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn other software.
  • Financial and budget management skills.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and team management abilities.
  • Willingness to support business development.
