Job Overview As an Associate Director MEP (Rail) on the WSP Rail Station team, you will lead the MEP Design team for major railway projects, delivering technical solutions from concept through to final construction and engaging client and contractors. Key Responsibilities
Lead the rail station M&E design team. Act as focal point between the client team and the WSP design team. Work closely with M&E design team to resolve design issues. Manage client engagement and internal multidisciplinary coordination. Interpret client specifications and relevant standards throughout development. Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Part L, and sustainable/Net‑Zero MEP design requirements. Contribute to WSP's net zero commitments by delivering low‑carbon design. Provide contract and commercial awareness of Employer’s Instruction, Early Warning, etc.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience leading MEP/FC building services design teams in the rail environment during Design and Construction stages. Qualifications meeting UK Engineering Institution chartership requirements. Understanding of HS2, Network Rail and/or London Underground standards. Knowledge of M&E building services design in regulated rail environments. Experience working with M&E client/contractors during initial, detailed and construction stages.
