Senior Principal Consultant - Cloud, Data, AI & ML Hybrid in Liverpool, Birmingham or Newcastle I’m currently recruiting for an Associate Director (Data) role with a client within the public sector to lead strategic initiatives across data engineering, analytics, architecture and data science. Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership across multidisciplinary data teams. Drive innovation and excellence in data science, analytics, engineering, and architecture. Lead and manage a team of 15–20 data professionals, fostering a high-performance culture. Oversee the implementation and optimisation of cloud-based data solutions using Azure. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align data initiatives with organisational goals.
Candidate Profile
Minimum 8 years’ experience in data-related roles, with 3–5+ years in leadership. Strong background in data science or analytics preferred; candidates from engineering or architecture backgrounds also considered. Proven experience managing mid-sized teams in complex environments. Expertise in Azure cloud technologies and modern data platforms. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
