An industry‑leading, purpose‑driven engineering consultancy is seeking a Bridge Engineering Lead / Project Director to deliver major bridge and civil infrastructure projects across the UK. The Role

You will lead the technical, commercial, and strategic delivery of high‑profile bridge projects. Acting as Project Director, you will manage multidisciplinary teams, drive best practice, and play a key role in work winning and client development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead major bridge and civil engineering projects across UK public infrastructure
• Direct multidisciplinary project delivery and establish robust management systems
• Mentor and develop engineers within the Bridges team
• Manage project finances, resources, and commercial performance
• Support business development through bidding, proposals, and client engagement
• Promote sustainability, digital innovation, and carbon reduction in bridge design
• Ensure high standards in health, safety, environment, and quality

About You

• Extensive UK bridge engineering experience, including public sector infrastructure
• Strong understanding of procurement and multidisciplinary project delivery
• Proven success in work winning and client relationship management
• Chartered (MICE, MIStructE or equivalent)
• Passionate about technical excellence, leadership, and team development
