Job Description

Associate Architect – Oxford (with occasional London travel)

Are you a highly experienced, ARB-registered architect ready to lead, mentor, and shape exciting architectural projects? We’re partnering with a leading UK multidisciplinary consultancy to find an Associate Architect to join their Oxford office. This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll deliver complex projects, guide talented teams, and make a real impact on innovative, high-quality developments.

About the Role:

You’ll take ownership of architectural design and project delivery, from feasibility to completion, across a variety of high-profile residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive technical excellence, and ensure projects meet both client expectations and the highest professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver architectural projects up to £30M, and lead multi-discipline teams on larger schemes.
  • Oversee project design, BIM/Revit coordination, CAD production, and contract administration.
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level architects, fostering technical growth.
  • Manage client relationships, approvals, and contract compliance.
  • Contribute to business development, including bid preparation and client engagement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • RIBA Part III or equivalent, with ARB registration.
  • 10+ years post-qualification experience in professional architectural practice.
  • Strong expertise in CAD, Revit, BIM Level 2, and 3D visualisation.
  • Proven track record in leading project teams and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Commercially aware, confident, and proactive, with excellent communication skills.

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Work with a collaborative, high-performing team dedicated to quality and innovation.
  • Lead projects that make a real difference to communities and the built environment.
  • Opportunities for personal growth, mentorship, and exposure to business development.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including travel between Oxford and London offices as required.

If you’re an experienced architect with a passion for technical excellence and leadership, this is your chance to step into a role where you make a real difference to both projects and people.
