This role supports the Team Leader in supervising warehouse operatives and agency staff, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and meeting operational targets.Key Responsibilities:Support the Team Leader with the daily supervision of operatives and agency staffEnsure warehouse systems are used effectively (JD Edwards, Excel, Webfocus, Outlook)Oversee warehouse activities including replenishment, DRP, picking, packing, returns and shippingAct as the first point of contact for staff queriesAssist with inductions and provide on-the-job training for new startersSupport the planning and booking of agency staff based on operational needsCheck and amend staff hours to ensure accurate reporting and payrollEnsure shifts run according to set targets, deadlines and customer requirementsMaintain quality, health and safety and operational proceduresSupport continuous improvement of warehouse processesSkills and Experience:Experience in a warehouse or distribution environmentPrevious supervisory experience preferredExperience working in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesKnowledge of JDE / WMS / ADP systemsGood computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeStrong communication and organisational skillsFlexible approach to work, including weekends or overtime when requiredPersonal Attributes:Reliable, professional and committedFriendly and approachableTeam player with a results-driven approachConscientious and able to lead by exampleMach Recruitment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.JBRP1_UKTJ
