We're looking for an Assistant Store Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join our home store team in Smethwick. Role Overview As Assistant Store Manager you will support the Store Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the store, step into full responsibility in their absence and inspire staff and volunteers to deliver an excellent customer journey that reflects our values. Key Responsibilities
Ensure the highest standard of customer service Achieve sales targets and maximise sales through physical and digital channels Maintain visual merchandising to a high standard Recruit and develop volunteers Meet expectations within campaign activities Work with the Manager to generate stock Operate in a fast‑paced environment – work 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis Handle the physical demands of collections, deliveries and donations
Qualifications
Experience in a customer‑facing role Supervisory experience Commercially driven, encouraging new ideas Inclusive approach to developing teams Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and achieving the highest retail standards Results driven with a focus on doing the right thing the right way
