Key Tasks
Operating the SCADA control panel for the site, grain dryers and optical colour sorter. Lead the team in the absence of the Store Manager. Site maintenance and repairs. Intake of grain Loading Lorries and ships. Assist in preparing managers' report to be presented at board meetings. Assist negotiating with supplies. Assist with arranging and managing 3rd party staff on site. Assisting in the formulation of the store utilisation plan in conjunction with the Managing Director.
About the role We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to join our team, who has a 'can do' attitude. Experience of managing a small team of people. Qualifications
Previous experience in grain storage desirable but not essential as training provided. Ideally the candidate would have good mechanical skills or engineering experience or at least a desire to learn such skills. Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a small team. Good level of numeracy and literacy skills. Good level of IT skills. Effective and clear communication skills. A 'can do' attitude and a strong work ethic.
