About The Role As an Assistant Manager at Boots Opticians you will lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey. You will play an important role within your store, working closely with the Store Manager, to create and deliver the commercial plan to help the business grow and change for the better. Responsibilities
Provide leadership and inspiration to the team to deliver an exemplary customer journey. Collaborate with the Store Manager to create and execute the commercial plan for the store. Oversee daily store operations, including customer service, store operations, and clinical activities such as patient pre‑screening, dispensing, and accuracy checks. Manage and develop a diverse team, allocating responsibilities, creating rotas, conducting return‑to‑work reviews, and holding performance management sessions. Support completion of Boots’ industry‑leading “Step into Optics” training programme and other leadership training programmes.
Qualifications
Experience working in a customer‑facing role. Desire to learn and grow in a dynamic retail setting. Experience leading or coaching a team.

Experience working in a clinical environment.
