Exciting opportunity for a driven & ambitious Assistant Site Manager to join the team for a landmark development in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high profile, large scale project that will play a key role in the city's regeneration.

You will be working for a major tier 1 principal contractor who operate across various sector including commercial, residential and stadiums. This project is a mixed use scheme circa £300million+

About the role

Working alongside the larger project team, you will support the day to day operations of the site. Ensuring the work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role offers excellent exposure to a major scheme and clear progression within a tier 1 contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Support the management of site activities and subcontractors
• Monitor health & safety compliance and promote a safe work culture
• Assist in coordinating trades to meet programme deadlines
• Ensure quality standards are maintained across all works
• Conduct site inspections and contribute to progress reporting
• Help manage logistics, deliveries and site organisation

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Site Engineer, trainee or Assistant Site manager role
• Experience on large scale construction projects (ideally commercial or mixed use)
• Strong background in External Envelope packages
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Proactive, hands on approach with willingness to learn
• Relevant construction qualification (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent)
• SMSTS/ SSSTS / CSCS required
