Blaymires Recruitment is representing an established residential developer who is searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
The company is based near Winchester and delivers high-quality construction and refurbishment projects across the residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors, with projects ranging up to the value of £20M.
They are looking for a motivated individual with around 2–4 years’ experience, currently operating as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Buyer, who is keen to step up into a broader in-house development position with real responsibility.
The Role
Working closely with the Commercial Manager and senior team, you will support the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and budgets
* Supporting procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
* Measuring works and assisting with valuations
* Preparing interim applications and final accounts
* Monitoring project costs and reporting variations
* Supporting contract administration and commercial reporting
The Ideal Candidate
* 2–4 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or buying role
