Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a private family-owned main contractor's West Midlands division. This is a site-based role where you will be supported by a Senior Quantity Surveyor. The projects you will be involved with include police stations and other security-related developments, alongside traditional NEC contracts. The role offers valuable exposure to a variety of contract types and project scopes within a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months' site experience and be eager to develop their commercial and quantity surveying skills on complex and sensitive projects.
Skills:
Minimum 12 months site experience (essential)
Knowledge of NEC contracts
Ability to prepare valuations and payment applications
Cost monitoring and reporting
Subcontractor liaison and management
Measurement and quantification skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work on site and liaise with project teams
Proactive approach to learning and development
