Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Later Living Developer Projects up to £25m Permanent: up to £45,000 + Package Location: Oxford We are currently searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for an award-winning later living developer who are very busy at present and are looking to add additional talent to their commercial team.

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be primarily based in the head office with frequent travel to site.

The Role:

Supporting the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring cost control and budget compliance Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of cost plans, budgets and cash flow forecasts Supporting procurement of contractor and consultant packages, including tendering, analysis and appointments Reviewing and processing contractor valuations and applications for payment, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contract terms Assisting with variation management and change control, tracking costs and supporting agreement of final accounts Maintaining accurate financial records and reports, providing updates to senior commercial and development teams Liaising with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and coordination Supporting value engineering and cost-saving initiatives, contributing to overall project viability Required:

2/3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role or placement, ideally within residential or developer-led projects Strong commercial awareness, supporting cost control, valuations, variations and financial reporting Experience working with contractors and consultants, assisting with procurement and package management Highly organised with strong attention to detail, capable of managing documentation, reporting and multiple workstreams To apply for this role please send your CV through the portal or get in contact with Sam Marsden at Lonsite directly
