I'm currently working with a Cost Consultancy, looking to add an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to their Manchester based team.

Job Description: The firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in quantity surveying within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Support the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
Assist in the measurement and valuation of works for interim and final payments.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate cost control.
Maintain accurate records of all project-related financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, cost estimating software).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.They are looking to assist the successful candidate with their career progression goals with the target of supporting them through their APC.
