TXM Recruit is supporting a well-established engineering and rail-focused organisation in the recruitment of an Assistant Project Manager to join their growing Rail Division.

The Role Reporting into the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects from start to finish. The role involves a blend of coordination, administration, stakeholder communication, and progress reporting, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities Support project planning, development, and implementation activities Manage smaller projects or specific phases of larger projects Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to communicate project goals, requirements, and progress Carry out project administration tasks including scheduling meetings, preparing quotations and invoices, and maintaining project financials Monitor and report on project progress, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation Use project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Power BI, Trello, or ERP systems Maintain accurate and well-organised project documentation Identify risks and issues, supporting the resolution of project challenges Coordinate with team members, contractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth project delivery Uphold company values and maintain high standards of quality, conduct, and collaboration Requirements:
Experience supporting project planning, execution, and delivery Experience liaising with stakeholders at various levels Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable producing reports, quotations, emails, and documentation Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Ability to work independently and as part of a team Eager to learn and develop within a project environment Good commercial awareness Willingness to undertake relevant training or qualificationsDesirable:
