About the Role
Colten Developments are looking for a reliable and proactive individual to join our team as a
Small Tool Fitter / Assistant Plant & Transport Manager . This is a varied, hands-on role combining equipment maintenance, fleet coordination, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:
Small Tool Fitter Duties
Carry out routine maintenance on small tools, pumps, generators, and plant machinery
Perform repairs to ensure all company-owned equipment is safe and fit for purpose
Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
Assistant Plant & Transport Manager Duties
Source, negotiate, and manage hire plant and equipment rates
Support the management of the company vehicle fleet
Liaise with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing for repairs and servicing
Provide cover for the Plant & Transport Manager during absences
(previous experience not essential)
General Duties
Operate company 7.5-tonne vehicles
(CPC preferred but not essential)
Operate warehouse forklift truck
