An experienced Assistant Manager is needed to join our leadership team at The Crown & Mitre in King's Lynn, an award-winning 1 AA Rosette riverside gastropub. We are looking for a passionate and driven hospitality professional to support the GM and owners and bring energy and enthusiasm to our busy and friendly venue. Situated along the picturesque Great River Ouse The Crown & Mitre is renowned for its exceptional locally sourced produce for its menus, warm hospitality, and vibrant atmosphere. With two popular restaurant spaces, cosy bar, and beer garden. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career with a supportive and well-regarded hospitality group in a stunning waterside location. Key Responsibilities: Support the GM in delivering outstanding guest experiences Lead by example, assisting in training and motivating the team to deliver excellent service Ensure high standards in both food and beverage service Assist in managing staffing levels, inventory, and daily operations to optimise performance Monitor sales, control costs, and support the achievement of financial targets Contribute ideas for menu offerings, events, and promotions Assist in promoting the venue through social channels to attract new and returning guests Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards Required Skills: Passionate about food, drink, and delivering exceptional service Strong leadership qualities with a people-oriented mindset Previous experience in a similar hospitality role Understanding of cost control, sales monitoring, and financial performance Creative thinking with a marketing mindset, including social media experience Calm and professional approach to problem-solving Hands-on team player with a lead-from-the-front attitude Benefits: A competitive salary package of up to £37,000 per year Career development and training within the group Flexible working patterns and a proper work-life balance A supportive, passionate team environment Stunning riverside location with a strong community and guest base.
