Assistant Manager / Manager - M&A and Transactions Tax

Locations: We welcome applications from Bristol, Leeds or Nottingham
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum, DOE
Contract: Permanent | Full-time or Part-time/Flexible considered

Due to sustained national expansion and an influx of high-quality mandates, we are seeking ambitious Senior Associates, Assistant Managers or Managers to join their market-leading M&A and Transactions Tax team.

This is a rare opportunity to become part of a rapidly scaling advisory practice known for delivering exceptional work across a diverse mix of clients including UK and international owner-managed businesses, corporates, and Private Equity.

The Opportunity

As part of the Transactions Tax team, you will work across a broad spectrum of deals and advisory work, including:

  • Corporate and shareholder reorganisations
  • Acquisition and sale structuring
  • Buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence
  • Cross-border transactions
  • Demergers and management tax issues
  • Corporate tax compliance and advisory projects

You will also have direct client exposure, the opportunity to operate as a key point of contact, and the support of a highly experienced senior leadership team committed to your career progression.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates who can bring credibility, technical strength and a collaborative mindset. Depending on the level applied for, you'll ideally have:

Experience & Background

  • Minimum 3 years' experience (Assistant Manager) or 4+ years (Manager) within tax
  • Strong exposure to corporate tax advisory and transactions-related work
  • ATT/CTA and/or ACA qualified
  • Experience dealing directly with clients and intermediaries
  • A desire to develop deeper expertise in M&A, reorganisations, and cross-border advisory
  • Excellent UK corporate tax advisory knowledge
  • Understanding of key tax areas relating to compliance and tax accounting

Skills

  • Strong communicator with excellent written skills
  • Proactive approach to identifying service opportunities
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple tax specialisms, including international teams
  • Experience supporting and developing junior team members
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability
