Assistant Management AccountantLocation: North ManchesterIndustry: ManufacturingOur client, a leading manufacturer, has recently undergone significant investment and growth. They are now seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the Finance Controller and wider finance team, with responsibilities including (but not limited to):

• Production of weekly accounts
• Month-end processing and analysis, including:
  • Preparation of accruals and prepayments
  • Posting payroll journals
  • Draft P&L and Balance Sheet preparation
• Balance Sheet and Bank reconciliations
• Supplier reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Overhead analysis and commentary
• ONS returns
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register and depreciation calculations
• Assist and support the Operations Accountant and Finance Director

Requirements

• Part-qualified accountant studier, (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong Excel skills, pivot tables/V-Look-ups
• Determination, initiative, and a proactive approach
