Assistant Management Accountant

A growing organisation based in Redcar is looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant to support its expanding finance function. This role is ideal for a newly qualified or finalist accountant, particularly those with practice experience, offering exposure to senior stakeholders and involvement in business-wide decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, and variances)
Support weekly and monthly financial reporting and analysis
Monitor revenue, utilisation, and costs against forecast and budget
Assist in managing fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments
Provide Excel-based analysis and reporting
Support finance system and software implementations
Contribute to improving financial processes, reporting, and forecasting accuracy
Skills & Experience:
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or finalist
Practice experience is highly advantageous
Strong Excel and analytical skills
Confident communicator with a proactive, improvement-focused approach
Organised and able to work independently while supporting the wider finance team
