Assistant General Manager Manicomio City Manicomio City, part of the renowned Manicomio Group of fine Italian restaurants, is seeking a passionate and driven Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team in the heart of London.

The Role As Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager and Head of Operations to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the restaurant. You will play a key role in leading the team, maintaining exceptional service standards, and driving business performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellence in food, service, and presentation
Assisting with staff management, training, rotas, and performance monitoring
Supporting financial controls including costs, budgets, and profitability
Delivering and maintaining outstanding customer service and guest experience
Ensuring compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations
Assisting with stock control, supplier coordination, and waste management
Supporting marketing initiatives, promotions, and events
Maintaining clear communication between front and back of house teams
Contributing to continuous improvement and operational efficiency
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong experience in a quality restaurant environment
Demonstrates leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
Has excellent attention to detail and a passion for hospitality
Is confident, proactive, and solutions-focused
Possesses strong organisational and communication skills
Has a good understanding of financial performance (cost control, GP, staffing)
Has some wine knowledge (WSET certification is advantageous)
Is well-presented with excellent spoken and written English
Has the right to live and work full-time in the UK
Is flexible and able to work evenings and busy periods
Contract & Working Hours Full-time position
Minimum of 8 shifts across 5 days per week
Flexibility required during peak periods and team absences
