Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager for our client based in South Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Financial Analysis and Finance Business Partnering.

Role Overview: As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Finance Business Partner to manage a portfolio of contracts. Your key role will be providing commercial financial support, ensuring cost-effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement, and managing financial risks. You will also play an integral part in supporting operational teams and senior stakeholders with financial analysis and business reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Support:

Partner with both financial and non-financial stakeholders to drive decision-making and manage financial risks and opportunities.

Attend site and client meetings, providing proactive financial analysis to support business decisions.

Assist in monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reviews.

Operational Performance:

Support operational teams in understanding and improving their financial performance.

Promote working capital improvements, including contract billing and debt management.

Contribute to tender preparation and capital expenditure appraisals.
