Deputy Finance Manager Location: Coulsdon Job Type: Full-time | Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a financial savings company based in Coulsdon, who are looking to appoint an experienced Deputy Finance Manager to support the Finance Manager in overseeing the day-to-day finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional with strong technical knowledge and leadership capability, looking to take the next step in their career within a regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supporting the Finance Manager with the daily management of the finance department

* Overseeing transactional finance processes, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

* Assisting with month-end and year-end accounts preparation

* Producing management accounts and financial reports

* Monitoring cash flow and assisting with budgeting and forecasting

* Ensuring compliance with financial controls, policies, and procedures

* Supervising and supporting junior members of the finance team

* Acting as a key point of contact in the Finance Manager’s absence

* Using and maintaining the Sage accounting system

Skills & Experience Required:

* Proven experience in a senior finance role (e.g. Senior Finance Assistant, Assistant Finance Manager, Deputy Finance Manager)

* Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software

* Experience preparing management accounts and supporting month-end close

* Solid understanding of financial controls and reporting

* Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across departments

Desirable:

* Part-qualified or qualified accountant (AAT / ACCA / CIMA)

* Experience within financial services, savings, or a regulated environment

* Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
