We are now seeking a compassionate, strategic and values-driven Assistant Director of Care and Support - Mental Health & Addiction to join our senior leadership team and help shape the future of our services. About the Role The Assistant Director of Care and Support - Mental Health & Addiction role offers the opportunity to influence service delivery across a wide portfolio of mental health and addiction services. You will support the strategic direction of the organisation, oversee safe and effective service operations, and provide leadership and guidance to managers and teams. You will also represent Inspire with key partners, strengthen governance and quality standards, and support service development across the region. Key Responsibilities You will: Lead Mental Health & Addiction Services in alignment with Inspire's vision, values and strategic objectives. Provide leadership, support and direction to managers and teams, ensuring they have the capability to meet organisational goals. Oversee day-to-day service operations, promoting safe, high-quality and person-centred delivery. Monitor quality, performance and regulatory compliance, supporting improvement where required. Build and maintain effective relationships with commissioners, funders, statutory bodies and partner organisations. Support business development opportunities and represent Inspire positively at all levels. Promote good governance, contribute to policy and risk processes, and support organisational compliance. Provide leadership in staff development, supervision, coaching and performance management. Oversee financial performance and support effective budget planning and monitoring. Qualifications A qualification in either Social Work, Nursing or Allied Health profession. or QCF Level 5 or equivalent 2. Experience Applicants must have, by the closing date for applications, demonstrable experience in each of the following areas: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a management position with at least 3 years' in an influential leadership position in a Health and Social Care area. Demonstrable experience of service development and service improvement. Responsibility for managing a budget for delivery of a service or a department. Thorough working knowledge of governance obligations and systems. Experience of direct line management with well-developed people management skills. Experience of negotiating with statutory bodies at operational and strategic levels. Experience of using Microsoft packages to include Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 3. Knowledge Knowledge and understanding of regulatory bodies within Health & Social Care 4. Circumstances Flexibility to work at various locations Full current driving licence, business insurance and access to a car (alternative proposals considered for applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence) Why Join Inspire?
