About the Role
As an Assistant Construction Manager, you will have a key role in supporting site leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of construction and fit-out projects. Working alongside senior managers, you will have to help maintain high standards of quality, safety, and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day site operations, coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring health & safety compliance. Assist with quality assurance, programme management, and logistical planning. Contribute to the review of design documentation and help resolve technical queries. Maintain clear communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. Participate in meetings, contribute to project reporting, and support snagging and handover processes.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in construction management or as an assistant/trainee manager, ideally within fit-out or refurbishment projects. A solid understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. A proactive and collaborative approach with attention to detail. Site safety certifications (e.g. SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS card)
