A well established multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a motivated building surveyor to join their South London team as an Assistant Building Surveyor. This opportunity is ideal for a building surveyor looking to develop their experience across a wide range of sectors while progressing within a supportive consultancy environment. The successful building surveyor will gain practical exposure to refurbishment, sustainability and construction projects while strengthening their core building surveying knowledge. The successful building surveyor will be joining an established multidisciplinary consultancy with decades of experience delivering property and construction services across the UK.

Providing services across architecture, building surveying, project management and sustainability consulting, the consultancy works across sectors including education, commercial, healthcare and emergency services. The Assistant Building Surveyor will work within a collaborative team environment supporting a wide range of project instructions.

The Role

As the building surveyor you will work alongside experienced surveyors and multidisciplinary teams, supporting the delivery of projects across several sectors.

The role will include:

* Supporting the delivery of refurbishment and construction projects
* Assisting with building surveys, condition reports and technical inspections
* Supporting energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
* Assisting with the preparation of specifications and project documentation
* Attending client meetings, contractor meetings and site inspections
* Supporting project delivery across education, commercial, health and emergency services sectors
* Working collaboratively with architects, project managers and other consultants
* Undertaking general project and surveying support duties

The Assistant Building Surveyor?

You will be a motivated and organised individual with an interest in developing a long term career in building surveying. Unfortunately applications from non construction related building surveyor backgrounds will not be considered.

The Assistant Building Surveyor must have:

* 1-2 years' experience in building surveying or a related discipline
* Interest in progressing towards professional accreditation
* Interest in sustainable and energy efficient building solutions
* Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Motivation to develop technical knowledge and project experience
