Location: City of London Salary: £32,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Office-Based We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Branch Manager to join our dynamic retail banking team in the heart of the City of London. This is a fully office-based role offering a competitive salary of £32,000 per annum. In this pivotal position, you will oversee the day-to-day operational activities of the branch, providing leadership to the team of Personal Bankers and ensuring consistent delivery of high service standards. You will work closely with the Area Branch Manager , stepping in to manage the branch in their absence, and liaise with head office departments including Operations and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Take joint responsibility with the Area Branch Manager for operational excellence.
Act as the line manager for Personal Bankers/Cashiers regarding operational performance.
Oversee cash management, including joint custody of cash, lockers, and key security items.
Supervise and authorise cash transactions, demand drafts, and account debits.
Ensure compliance with KYC/AML guidelines for all relevant transactions.
