Mint Selection have partnered with an exciting asset owner to help build their asset management function as they grow their operational portfolio from 180MW - 600+MW of co-located PV & BESS projects in the next 12 months.We are seeking a technically strong Asset Manager to oversee the performance, reliability, and compliance of a portfolio of utility-scale, co-located Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assets. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and commercial management, ensuring assets operate safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual and financial expectations.The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day asset performance while supporting optimisation strategies, contractor management, and key stakeholder relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Asset ManagementMonitor and analyse asset performance (Solar PV and BESS), identifying underperformance and implementing corrective actionsOversee O&M contractors to ensure adherence to KPIs, SLAs, and technical standardsReview SCADA data, fault reports, and maintenance logs to optimise system availability and efficiencyLead root cause analysis for major incidents or recurring issuesSupport lifecycle planning, including major component replacements and upgradesEnsure compliance with grid codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsOperational OversightCoordinate planned and unplanned maintenance activitiesManage outages and ensure minimal downtime across the portfolioDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset performance and reduce costsSupport commissioning and integration of new assets into the portfolioCommercial & Contractual ManagementManage and enforce contracts including O&M agreements, warranties, and service contractsInterface with offtakers, grid operators, and other key stakeholdersReporting & Stakeholder ManagementPrepare regular technical and operational reports for internal and external stakeholdersPresent performance insights and recommendations to senior managementCollaborate with finance, trading, and development teams to support asset optimisation strategiesKey RequirementsDegree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline), or solid technical acumen from on the job training.Experience in asset management, operations, or engineering within renewable energy (Solar PV and/or BESS preferred)Strong understanding of utility-scale energy systems and performance metricsExperience managing O&M contractors and technical service providersFamiliarity with SCADA systems and data analysis toolsWorking knowledge of grid compliance and health & safety standardsExperience with co-located or hybrid energy assetsExperience with contractual frameworks (e.g., EPC, O&M, LTSA agreements) #J-18808-Ljbffr
