Position: Shading Assembly Technician
Location: Stevenage
Salary: £24,000 - £30,000
Assembly technician required to join a well-established Engineering company that is based in the Stevenage area. The successful candidate will be assisting with the assembling and testing of high end motorized blind systems to exacting standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for precision, a commitment to cleanliness, and the ability to work within tight tolerances to ensure flawless product performance.

Assembly Technician Job Overview

Assemble various manual and automated blind/shading systems using hand tools, jigs, and precision instruments
Work within close tolerances +/- Maintain inventory of product and parts in workstations
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets our high-quality standards
Identify product defects and share with team lead
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Basic understanding of electrical wiring
Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Assembly Technician Job Requirements

Proficient in the use of hand tools
Able to accurately document build progress
Enthusiasm and interest in engineering and manufacturing.
Previous experience in manufacturing/ engineering environment advantageous, but transferable skills will be considered

Assembly Technician Salary & Benefits

Permanent position
Salary - £24,000 - £30,000 (DOE)
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
Pension scheme - we pay 8% following a 3-month probation completion
Overtime available Saturdays
