Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

Mazak's Spindle Service Centre (SSC) is a dedicated resource that maximises Spindle performance for our customers. The department is looking to invest in capacity to align production with the increased demand for SSC-repaired spindles.

The successful candidate will be part of the Spindle Strip & Wash team based at the PDC site, working together to achieve targets set by the area team leader.

Job Description

The Role

Strip down returned broken spindles. Clean parts using approved methods. Test spindle stators to check if they are good to reuse. Inspect stripped parts to determine if they can be reused. Follow health & safety guidelines.

Essential Criteria:

Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Keen to learn new skills and transfer knowledge within the team, always acting as a team player. Has a problem-solving mindset. Flexible for overtime when required to meet the production target. Ability to work with hand tools safely. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work with or without supervision. Desirable Criteria:

Experience in dismantling and cleaning mechanical parts safely. Experience in forklift operation. Experience in motor testing Experience in parts inspection and re-ordering. Apprentice trained. The Reward
