About the School
A welcoming and inclusive special school in Newbury is seeking a Graduate Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to join their team. The school supports pupils aged 2–19 with severe and complex learning difficulties, many with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
Work in a nurturing, child-centred environment alongside a multi-disciplinary team, including qualified Speech and Language Therapists (SALTs), to deliver interventions that help pupils develop communication, social, and emotional skills.
Role & Responsibilities
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to children with speech, language and communication needs
Support teachers in autism-friendly lessons
Help pupils build communication, social, and emotional skills
Collaborate with SALTs, teachers, and support staff
️ Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing
Candidate Requirements
Recent graduate interested in Speech and Language Therapy, SEN, or child development
❤️ Compassionate, patient, and proactive
️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Full-time availability during term-time
Able to travel to Newbury
