About the Role
As a 1:1 ASC Teaching Assistant, you will:
Deliver individualised support strategies tailored to the pupil’s EHCP Implement evidence-based interventions (e.g., visual timetables, sensory regulation, structured routines) Foster emotional regulation, communication skills, and social development Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team including the SENCO and external professionals Create a safe, predictable, and nurturing learning environment Promote independence, engagement, and positive behaviour for learning The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced or highly passionate about supporting pupils with ASC / autism Skilled in behaviour management, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed practice Patient, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent Confident in using structured approaches such as TEACCH, PECS, or sensory strategies (desirable) A proactive problem-solver with a flexible, solution-focused mindset An excellent communicator and team player Committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil-centred practice What We Offer
