About the Role:\n\nProspero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Secondary Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the West Derby area to start in January 2026. This role will be for 4 days per week.\n\nPosition Details:\n\nLocation: West Derby\nType: Long Term\nStart Date: January 2026\nFull Time/Part Time: 4 days per week\nHours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm\nPay: Competitive, paid to scaleResponsibilities:\n\nTeaching and Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons that cater to a variety of skill levels. Encourage and develop students' creative thinking and artistic skills.\nCurriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum aligned with educational standards.\nStudent Assessment: Evaluate and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills.

Maintain accurate records of student performance and development. Prepare and administer assignments, projects, and examinations.\nClassroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and respect. Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a safe and productive learning space.\nProfessional Development: Stay updated on current trends and best practices in art education.\nCommunication: Provide support and guidance to students in their artistic endeavours and career aspirations.Experience, Training, and Qualifications:\n\nTeaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)\nPrevious experience in a UK school\nUp-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as some training will be provided)Eligibility Requirements:\n\nRight to Work in the UK\nEnhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to process a new application)\nTwo professional referencesIf this role is of interest, we would love to hear from you!
