Art Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey

An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey is seeking a talented and passionate Art Teacher to join their vibrant and successful Art and Design department. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.

Responsibilities:

The successful Art Teacher will plan and deliver inspiring and engaging lessons across a range of artistic disciplines (e.g., drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, digital media). You will foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills in students of all abilities, creating a supportive and stimulating studio environment. Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to the development of the Art curriculum and extracurricular activities are key responsibilities for this Art Teacher role.

Requirements:

Applicants must be a qualified Art Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Fine Art, Design, or a related field. Proven experience teaching Art at the secondary level is required. A strong portfolio demonstrating a breadth of artistic skills and personal practice, along with excellent communication and classroom management skills, is essential.
