Visum Recruitment are delighted to be introducing our client in the hydraulics industry, who are seeking an experienced and ambitious Area Sales Manager to work full time across the North of England, Scotland, and Ireland. This role will focus on managing existing customer accounts alongside developing new business opportunities. The successful candidate will act as a key commercial and technical contact for customers within the assigned territory.


This is a key role within a well-established and growing hydraulics business, requiring a dynamic individual with a technical background in hydraulics and experience in customer-facing roles, ideally within sales or business development.


Area Sales Manager Job Overview

  • Manage and develop existing customer accounts across the North of England, Scotland, and Ireland.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities to support continued growth.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions to customers, drawing on knowledge of hydraulic components and systems.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships through regular customer visits and a consultative sales approach.
  • Support regional growth objectives through effective territory management and sales activity.


Area Sales Manager Job Requirements

  • Technical background with experience in hydraulics.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role; sales or business development experience beneficial.
  • Self-motivated and ambitious, with a desire to develop a long-term career.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.


Area Sales Manager Salary & Benefits

  • Salary up to £50,000 + bonus scheme (OTE 13k)
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
