Our client is a global business, that manufactures fastening and fixing solutions for the engineering, industrial and construction sectors. They are looking for an ambitious Area Sales Manager to cover the South West of the UK to grow merchant distributor sales, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role for someone who thrives on building relationships, managing their own time, and consistently beating sales targets.

What You'll Be Doing
Managing and growing 100% Merchant Distributor sales
Building strong, long‑term relationships at all levels of customer businesses - owners, managers, sales counters, external sales and technical teams
Proactively managing a mix of:
Prospect (non‑spending) accounts
Spending but non‑stocking accounts
Profile stockists with strong multi‑range presence
Delivering a first‑class customer experience at every touchpoint
Forecasting sales pipelines and trends to support business planning
Promoting and selling the full product range, clearly communicating USPs and value‑added solutions
Taking full ownership of your sales activity, from opportunity identification through to delivery
Representing fischer professionally at customer meetings, site visits and trade events
CRM & Ways of Working
Logging all sales activity accurately
Keeping customer records and contacts fully up to date
Clearly documenting customer feedback, actions and next steps
Completing weekly forward planning by Friday for the following week
Managing your time effectively to deliver results across your territory

What You'll Be Accountable For
Achieving daily, monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
Meeting all agreed KPIs and PDP goals
Delivering 4.5 selling days per week
Maintaining a positive and professional "face of fischer UK"
Adhering to company, data protection and service standards at all times
