Job Description

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Area Property Operations Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract which is a hybrid role so does require up to 4 days a week on site across HMP Feathersone and HMP Brinsford - West Midlands\n\n The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government's ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.\n\n As a Area Property Operations Manager, your main responsibilities will be:\n\n * Management of the facility, including security, maintenance, and other services.\n * Ensuring that the needs of the organisation, employees, and/or visitors are met.\n * Work in partnership with all stakeholders across the sites\n * Monitor and report on internal performance against safety, costs, programme and quality, identify deviations and implement remedial actions as appropriate.\n * Managing the preparation, approval and issue of technical specifications and safety documentation through review to implementation.\n\n Essential Skills\n\n * Experience across Facilities management, both hard and soft services\n * Project management experience and skillset\n * Stakeholder management both Internal and external which will include prison staff\n * Strong communication and flexibility skills are important for this role\n * Microsoft office suite skillset\n * Strong self-starter with a proactive approach to all duties\n\n Qualifications\n\n * NEBOSH qualification is an essential requirement for this role\n\n Desirable\n\n * Experience within the prison service would be highly beneficial\n\n Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.\n\n Confident \n\n As a member of the Confident Scheme, MOJ guarantees to interview all candidates who have a and who meet all the essential criteria for the vacancy.
