About the Role
We're looking for an inspiring and forward-thinking Area Head of Automotive Professions to lead and develop a high quality, innovative curriculum across a range of automotive programmes, including:
Motor Vehicle Servicing and Repair
Automotive Maintenance
Motor Vehicle Body and Paint
Vehicle Technician Accredited Assessment (VTAA)
Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
MOT Testing
In this exciting leadership role, you will:
Provide confident, motivational leadership to drive the area forward
Develop a cutting-edge curriculum that meets the evolving needs of employers and learners
Lead and support staff to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment
Manage people, resources, and timetabling effectively to ensure exceptional learner experiences
Grow and enhance the curriculum, introducing new courses and innovations
Build strong employer partnerships and identify opportunities for apprenticeships and commercial growth

Essential Qualifications
Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent)
Degree or equivalent
Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. Certificate in Education/PGCE)
Evidence of ongoing professional development
Essential Experience
Up-to-date knowledge of the automotive sector and Further Education
Proven experience managing staff to improve quality and learner outcomes
Strong track record of supporting excellent teaching, learning and assessment
Experience managing and deploying resources effectively
Background in curriculum development, promotion, or marketing
Awareness of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Prevent, and Safeguarding principles
