An exciting opportunity has risen for an Area Commissioning Team Leader (ACTL) based at Sellafield full time onsite reporting to the Deputy Commissioning Manager and the Commissioning ManagerThis is a 12 month contract role inside IR35 at £62.50ph (umbrella).***Only apply if you are a British Citizen and passport holder and not have worked outside the UK during the past 5 years.***You will require BPSS clearance for this role.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:The ACTL has Lead Commissioning Engineers and Commissioning Engineers and Commissioning Technicians reporting to them.The ACTL supports the Deputy Commissioning Manager/Commissioning Manager in the management of the commissioning of the BEP facilities and transferring them over to the client operation stream in compliance with the Nuclear Site License condition 21.Ensuring Safety is the highest priority on the project with a continued strive towards Zero Harm. They ensure that they are a role model for all aspects of safety, ensuring a proactive approach to nuclear, radiological, conventional and environmental safetyTo support the project Safety Leadership tasks which include but are not limited toPlant/system Walk downs and undertaking 'Leader in the Field' surveys and assessmentsDelivering defined commissioning work scope to an agreed strategy and plan in a timely and cost effective mannerManaging the compilation and approval of Commissioning Test Documents for both IPC and ISC via the GoC Completions Management System (CMS)Managing execution of the arrangements for controlling, witnessing, recording and assessing the results of commissioning tests for both IPC and ISCProviding weekly Area Commissioning progress reports to Commissioning ManagementEnsuring that all Commissioning reporting is carried out in a timely mannerPopulate the Line of Site (LOS) boards on a daily basis and present progress/issuesLiaise with the Commissioning planner to maximise commissioning delivery opportunities and to support the reporting of commissioning progressLiaise with Commissioning management/GOC to achieve system execution completion to schedule to allow for client handoverEnsuring that all commissioning activities are recorded and managedPlanning, balancing and prioritising commissioning resources to support successful project deliveryEnsuring input to other project processes are incorporated, for example, design, HAZOP, risk, contract, estimating and knowledge managementEnsuring the commissioning team are SQEP to SL/JV requirements and that all relevant training has been completed and maintained to fully carry out their specific rolesLiaising with engineering and construction whilst undertaking commissioning activities to ensure earliest possible system handoverActively drives continuous improvement within the commissioning processESSENTIAL SKILLS:Commissioning experience in a similar managerial role for either nuclear or conventional systems commissioningExperience with GoC CMS (or similar) PreferableControl Systems bias requiredPreferred degree, HNC/HND in Engineering related subjectProject management knowledge, preferably APM memberIOSH Managing Safely or equivalentCSCS or equivalent cardDesign Tools/Software:GoCompletionsMicrosoft SuiteJBRP1_UKTJ
