April Start - Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover)

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Farnborough is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover contract starting in April.

About the Role

As the Primary Teacher on maternity cover, you will take responsibility for a class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support pupil's academic and personal development. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of learning and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

The role is suited to teachers with experience or interest in Key Stage 1, depending on the school's needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1
• Confidently manage classroom behaviour using positive strategies
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and routines
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
• Build strong working relationships with pupils and staff
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Requirements - To apply, you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent UK teaching experience within a primary school
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to commute to Farnborough

Desirable Experience:

• Teaching experience across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet different learner needs
• Experience supporting SEND pupils
• Strong communication and organisational skills
