Our client is a high-end construction company who are seeking a Technical Sales Manager with strong CAD/CAM expertise to lead their technical sales team. Based within a commutable distance to Milton Keynes but working nationally, this role combines strategic leadership with hands-on CAD/CAM involvement to drive growth and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.\n\nSummary of the Technical Sales Manager role \n\nSalary: Competitive plus bonus\nLocation: Commutable to Milton Keynes, field-based.\nType of Contract: Permanent\nHours: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm\n\nAs Technical Sales Manager, you’ll take ownership of the sales function, shaping strategy, mentoring your team, and ensuring the business remains a leader in the field. Your CAD/CAM knowledge will be pivotal in guiding demonstrations, trials, and installations, as well as supporting customers and team members throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nResponsibilities of the Technical Sales Manager\n\nLead, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve targets and deliver outstanding customer experiences.\nDrive business growth by managing enquiries, identifying new markets, and shaping sales strategy.\nUse CAD/CAM expertise to oversee demonstrations, project delivery, and technical installations.\nBuild and maintain long-term customer relationships through consistent aftersales support.\nRepresent the business at exhibitions and supplier meetings, while collaborating across the wider organisation.\nRequirements for a successful Technical Sales Manager\n\nCAD/CAM expertise is essential to support and lead technical sales activity.\nProven track record in technical sales leadership, with experience developing high-performing teams.\nStrong commercial acumen and ability to design and deliver growth strategies.\nSolid understanding of CNC milling machines; hands-on experience is highly desirable.\nExcellent communicator, confident engaging with SMEs and large corporates alike.\nResults-driven leader with the ability to balance strategic oversight with practical involvement.\nAllstaff Recruitment are an Independent Recruitment Specialist based in Bedfordshire who work on behalf of companies across Bedford, Milton Keynes and surrounds to fill their vacancies and meet their recruitment needs.
